  • Government ID Proofs: PAN, Aadhaar, driver’s license (for drivers), only when required by law.

  • Login Credentials: OTP-based verification, username/password (if applicable).

  • Real-time GPS data while using the app (pickup, drop-off, route).

  • Background location (if permitted) to improve driver matching.

  • City and area preferences for service availability.

C. Device and Technical Data

  • Device type, brand, OS, and version.

  • IP address and browser type (for web).

  • Contractual necessity – To provide services as part of the TomoCabs agreement.

We only share your data as needed for service delivery, legal obligations, or with your consent.

A. With Drivers (for riders)

  • Rider’s name, contact number (masked if possible), pickup/drop-off location.

  • Trip status and real-time ride updates.

B. With Riders (for drivers)

  • Driver’s name, photo, contact (masked if possible), vehicle details, ratings.

C. With Service Providers and Partners

  • Payment processors, cloud storage, analytics services, notification providers, customer support platforms.

These partners are contractually obligated to:

  • Use the data only for specified purposes.

  • Maintain strict confidentiality and security.

D. With Government Authorities

We may disclose your data if required:

  • By law or legal process.

  • To prevent, detect, or investigate crimes or fraud.

  • In the interest of national security or public safety.

We retain your information for as long as needed:

  • To provide the Service and support your account.

  • As legally required (e.g., for financial records – typically 7 years).

  • For resolving disputes, enforcing terms, or fraud prevention.

  • Delete your TomoCabs account via the app (Settings → Delete Account).

TomoCabs may link to third-party websites or apps (e.g., maps, payments). We are not responsible for their privacy practices. Please review their privacy policies before sharing any data.


11. Children's Privacy

Our platform is not intended for individuals under 18 years of age. We do not knowingly collect personal data from minors. If such data is accidentally collected, it will be deleted promptly upon discovery.


12. International Data Transfers

If you are using our services outside India, your data may be transferred to and processed in India or other countries where our partners operate. We ensure appropriate safeguards are in place for such transfers in compliance with applicable laws.
